RP Etiquette |
Streitstadt is unique in that most players are here to make real, long term friends. While some rudeness is common in public rps, in this close-knit group it is important that everyone treats each other with respect!
The following info will make it easier to be a good friend, and let you know what to do if someone isn't being as good to you as they should.
Out of Character |
Communicate!
(This is the most important part of rp! Ever! FRIENDSHIP! WOO!)
Talk with your rp partner so that roleplays don't become confusing/one sided.
Remember that RP is never about winning, nor torturing your oc.
RP is Collaborative!
If someone expresses concern over your planned actions, please don’t simply go ahead without addressing those concerns, even if you can figure out a way in-canon it makes sense.
Listen to other’s concerns, and create solutions together to keep the RP fun for everyone!
You may not always be able to do exactly what you want, but with some creativity, you still have nearly unlimited alternatives.
If you want to tell a story without input, do not invite others to join your story!
When to talk to your partner or mods:
- When you want to end a thread, or need to take a hiatus
- When you want to take immediate actions that will impact other characters
- When you are uncomfortable with another RPer's actions!
When to talk to Mods |
List of Current Mods: Here
Mods will only know of problems if they are brought to our attention. If something in the RP is bothering you, please let mods know ASAP.
When to talk to mods:
- RP rule clarification
- Where to start in the RP
- If you are uncomfortable with another RPer's behavior & talking with them doesn't solve it
- You want to do something another player doesn't like, & you are not able to collaborate on a solution.
- You want your OC to trespass/vandalize the Church/Villa, but your character does not naturally belong in the setting
Speak to Zoroko for Villa, QQ for Church - You want your OCs to ignore species weaknesses (i.e. a vampire who can tolerate crucifixes)
We will do our best to help solve the issue. Please note that moderation is done unpaid & within our very limited free time/emotional reserves. Please have patience with us. We take all matters brought to us extremely seriously, but may not act as quickly as you like, or solve the issue to your satisfaction.
You are free to check in on how your issue is going, but we are unlikely to run every step we are taking by you. That doesn't mean we aren't taking action.
